Join Taylor (with fine camera work by Babaloo) as he shares with the listening public the recipe for his mom's famous cheesecake. Plus, some other stuff. Be sure to check out episode 85, being uploaded the same time. Ho ho ho! Here's the recipe: CRUST: 8 tbsp butter 8 tbsp sugar 2 eggs 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, four, baking powder. Mix together until ingredients form soft dough. Butter 8 x 12baking dish. Place flour on fingers (to keep dough from sticking), and spread dough into baking dish sides and bottom. (DO NOT roll - dough will be too soft.) FILLING: 2 8 oz. pkgs of cream cheese 1 cup sugar 4 eggs, separated 4 tbsp flour 1 tsp vanilla extract 3 cups milk pinch of salt (for egg whites) Cream cream cheese, sugar, flour, vanilla and egg yolks together - mix well. SLOWLY add milk until cheese is dissolved. Add pinch of salt to egg whites. Beat until stiff. Fold egg whites into cream cheese filling; keep folding until lumps of egg whites dissolve. Pour into crust. Place cinnamon on top of cheesecake. Look for Episode 76 later this week! Taylor and the voice of Babaloo create what I hope will be the first of many cooking episodes for those of you who are culinarily challenged, as Taylor is. We recorded this a while back (as we talk about Hurricane Fay). Guest starring Otis and Rocco Here's the recipe: 1 (3-pound) chicken, quartered 1 pound smoked link sausage 1 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 2 teaspoons Seasoned Salt (recommended: Lawry's) 2 teaspoons House Seasoning, recipe follows 1 teaspoon ground red pepper 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 3 bay leaves 8 cups water 3 cups raw white rice Slice the sausage into 1/2-inch pieces. In a stockpot, combine the chicken, sausage, onion, butter, seasonings and bay leaves. Add the water, bring to a boil, cover, and cook at a low boil for 40 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pot and let cool slightly. Pick the meat from the bones, discarding the bones and skin. Add the rice to the pot and bring to a boil, stirring well. Boil for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat, cover the pot, and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the rice is done. Remove the bay leaves, and return the chicken to the pot. House Seasoning: 1 cup salt 1/4 cup black pepper 1/4 cup garlic powder Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Well, we are so chock full of stories and vignettes tonight that I had to break the episode up into TWO shows. (Part 2 will be out later in the week). Taffy talks about a waiter with no boundaries, Rodan has the honor of being the first PiMCer hunted down online (by a cute guy, from the sounds of it), Taffy and Taylor discuss cheating on tests in school and the joy of child abuse, Rodan talks about how finding an unwelcome pest in his house led to his new marital status, and plans to bring Rodan back to the show a little more often, especially now that he can be our roving reporter.....kinda...again, it will make sense when you listen to it. Some interesting changes to the show tonight. We did a live show in the same room with an iTalk recorder for Taylor's iPod...someone is missing, but someone is there to take his/her place....We talk about Cecadas, and a movie from the 70s called The Island, Pride in St. Pete, which is this weekend, don'tchaknow....Bears and whether or not Taylor's family think he is one....Some more John Goodman stories, and a Drum Riley Story thrown in for good measure....The time share agreement Taylor and Taffy apparently have for the brain they share....How Taffy repeats herself a lot and her career as a Kumquat Princess....New Podcasts...The MySpace page boom and a request for the listeners....A plug for a great non-profit organization....and the new Frappr Map.

This week we wax nostaligic on Summertime fun, which ends up being a conversation about 80's reruns, Summer Camp, The Joizee Shore, Brigantine Castle, and Rodan's travel woes. The review about Ocean's 13 that was talked about in the beginning in the episode will be in a future episode, after Taffy goes and sees it.
